Cheers to new adventures!
It was just over three years ago when I first arrived in Singapore. Vulnerable, nervous and excited about what was to come, with no guarantees of anything but ready to take the risk and ride the adventure. Now, three years later, I find myself feeling exactly the same.
Last month, I finished up my last day, full-time, with UN Women, Singapore Committee. I will continue to be engaged on a part-time consultancy basis with the organisation, but have decided that it’s time for me to move on to pursue other opportunities. The experiences that I've had and the connections that I've made in Singapore have taken me to the next level personally and professionally. And it is truly with a lot of sadness that I close a chapter on a part of my life that has a very special place in my heart.
But for new things to begin, old ones must end.
I've located myself in Manila, Philippines to open a new chapter of uncertainty, risk and new challenges. Next week I'll be heading to Cebu for a few weeks, and then I'll be in London towards the end of September.
I don't have another job to go to yet but know the direction I want to go in so will be spending my time exploring, immersing myself in the social impact scene, and looking for the next adventure somewhere in the world.
Maybe I’ll end up back in Singapore or Australia, or maybe not. Right now I’m going with the flow.
If there are any connections that I can make for you, or you find yourself in Manila, Cebu or London, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Likewise, if you hear of any opportunities, I’d be most grateful if you think of me!
Cheers to new adventures!
